Marking the International Women’s Day, Monalisa Sanitary Napkin organised a special programme on Sunday to honour the contributions, strength and inspiration of women.
The event was held at the Safwan Bashundhara Global (SBG) Headquarters in Dhaka, where female employees of the organisation participated along with their male colleagues. As a gesture of respect and solidarity, male employees wore badges reading “Women’s Day Greetings”.
The programme featured discussions, exchange of greetings and distribution of small gifts among the female employees in recognition of their contribution and capabilities in the workplace.
Safwan Sobhan, chairman of SBG and Vice-Chairman Yeasha Sobhan sent their greetings to the female employees on the occasion.
Senior officials including Md Mustafizur Rahman, senior DMD of Bashundhara Group, K M Zahid Uddin, DMD (sales and marketing) of SBG, and Mohammad Kamrul Hassan, CFO of SBG, were also present. They conveyed their appreciation for the dedication and contribution of women colleagues.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Monalisa Sanitary Napkin also launched a special campaign titled “Odekha Nayika” (Unseen Heroine), highlighting the unseen struggles and journeys of women who overcome challenges to achieve their dreams.
The campaign was carried out via online platforms and at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex.
Throughout March, Monalisa Sanitary Napkin will also visit different locations in Dhaka to listen to the untold stories of women from various professions, including visually impaired women, female police members, cleaners and security personnel. As part of the initiative, they will be honoured with gifts and annual protection packs.
The organisation said it will continue such initiatives to promote women’s empowerment, respect and a safe and confident life for women.
